About

In today's world of fashion art and style, choosing the right jewellery plays an important role. It can often define the finished look of a look and emphasise your uniqueness. Have you faced the problem of failing to choose a piece of jewellery or not knowing how to pair it with your outfit more than once? Today, as a stylist with great experience, I am ready to tell you about the basic rules and nuances of jewellery selection.

Versatility of jewellery

The basis of your jewellery wardrobe should consist of universal pieces that are suitable for both everyday use and special occasions. They should harmonise with your style and appearance.

Metallic colour

One of the key points when choosing jewellery is to match the colour of the metal to your type of appearance. Warm skin, hair and eye tones will benefit from yellow gold, while a cooler appearance will look better with silver or platinum jewellery.

Shapes of jewellery

Choosing the shape of jewellery, be guided by the features of your face and body. It is recommended to emphasise soft lines with delicate, rounded products, while for elongated lines and angles it is better to choose geometric shapes.

Combining metals and colours

Modern trends allow you to combine different metals and colours in one image. It is important that the jewellery harmonises with the shape and texture of your clothes, as well as with each other.

Size of jewellery

The choice between large-scale and small jewellery depends on your style and mood. Massive jewellery can add statement to a look, while smaller pieces will create delicacy and femininity.

Remember that knowing how to work with jewellery will allow you to create unique looks and express your style with a sense of taste and sophistication.

In the heart of the Mediterranean, on the shores of France, in the inimitable city of Marseille, Chanel welcomed the world with the new Cruise 2024/25 collection. The event took place on the rooftop of the Cité Radieuse, a historic building created by the eminent architect Le Corbusier in 1952. From this height, guests of the show were able to enjoy a magical panoramic view of the picturesque resort town.

Before looking at the collection, it is worth remembering the short film by Ledge Lee, which the brand presented before the release of the line. In it, Chanel tried to capture the beautiful atmosphere of the old town, from the streets to the historical monuments, with the help of talented dancers from the National Ballet of Marseille.

The world of art, architecture and cultural heritage is reflected in the collection. Virginie Viard, Creative Director of Chanel, shared, ‘Sun, architecture, music and dance: Marseille has a very strong sense of freedom. I was inspired by the codes of this lifestyle, everyday life and everything that encourages movement.’

The collection featured knitted cardigan and mini-skirt sets, short-sleeved tweed jackets paired with shorts, solid swimwear, a variety of dresses in different lengths and denim suits. The show was rounded off with 12 white looks, ranging from casual to festive.

The colour palette ranged from bright and contrasting shades to more muted and basic shades. Prints were also presented - mainly squares, stripes and geometric motifs.

Equally important was the focus on jewellery. Chanel focused on necklaces in several rows, large pearls and logo elements, voluminous silver earrings and false nails, which complemented the looks like nothing else.

The Chanel Cruise 2024/25 show in Marseille was a combination of elegance, style and freedom that characterises the brand and the city where it took place.

On the 30th of April, the world saw the new office of the famous brand Jacquemus, located in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. This fashion catwalk opened its doors and shared exclusive interior and exterior shots. The new office reflects the core aesthetic and signature DNA of the brand, which is known for its creative approach to fashion and aesthetics.

For this project, the brand's designer Simon Porte Jacquemus joined forces with a team of architects and designers from OMA Studio, who previously worked on the renovation of Tiffany & Co's flagship shop in New York. Their collaboration resulted in a space that is striking with minimalist details and artwork.

The main sculpture for the office was L'Air (2e état), created by French artist Aristide Maillol between 1938 and 1939. This sculpture, depicting a nude woman lying on a pedestal, became the centrepiece of the space. In addition, three other paintings by this artist can be found inside, which add a special charm and aesthetic value to the space.

When decorating the space, a white veil was used to symbolise Simon Jacquemus' latest wedding collection, creating an atmosphere of lightness and romance. The office also includes work areas for employees, creative workshops and aesthetic corners for relaxation.

The overall design of the space reflects the core values of the Jacquemus brand and embodies its unique aesthetic. This new office is another step in the development and establishment of the brand on the global fashion scene.

A white dress is a symbol of purity, elegance and sophistication that wins the hearts of fashionistas all over the world. The spring-summer season invites us to rethink the classic little black dress and pay attention to white dresses, which are becoming the most versatile trend this year. Let's figure out together why a white dress has become a must-have in a spring wardrobe and how to style it in a stylish way.

First, let's look at the models offered by global brands this season. These can be either minis, ideal for warm spring days, or midi or maxi lengths made of light and airy fabrics. It is worth noting that designers play with shapes, textures and fabrics, giving white dresses a unique look. From translucent models to knitted or decorated with lace, there are many options.

In addition, on the catwalks this season we can see white dresses with voluminous details such as ruffles, feathers or fringes, which add romance and playfulness to the look. Designers also resort to such a popular technique this year as draping, creating dresses that resemble the clothes of Greek goddesses.

As for the styling methods, there are a variety of approaches to apply. You can create a total white look by combining a white dress with other white items, or add basic shades such as black accessories or shoes. Bright additions, such as red shoes or a yellow bag, also look impressive. The combination ‘white dress + metallic details’, which was shown on the Versace catwalks, looks no less elegant.

Thus, a white dress is not only a fashion trend, but also a versatile wardrobe staple that can create a unique look in any situation. Choose your perfect model and wear it with courage and style, following our tips. Let your white dress become a real highlight of your spring wardrobe!

Oversize is a term that is known and loved by many fashionistas and fashionistas. It means a large, loose cut of clothing that wins hearts with its comfort and style. However, unless certain rules are followed, choosing and wearing oversize can be a daunting task. Let's understand how to choose and wear this type of clothing correctly to look stylish and harmonious.

Pay attention to your proportions. The clothes you choose should be proportionate to your body. For example, if you have petite appearance lines, when choosing an oversize coat or shirt, don't go overboard with the size. Remember the golden rule of proportion.

Choose items with an appropriate cut. The size of the garment should match your height and figure. If you choose a loosely cut shirt or jumper, make sure it fits your figure without being too big.

Choose the right size. To make your look look harmonious, choose clothes only a half or one size larger than your usual size. Don't exaggerate with sizing, especially if you are a size large.

Balance the volumes. To avoid the look of an overly voluminous look, combine oversize pieces with those that have a more fitted cut. For example, if you have a large oversize jacket, you can pair it with skinny jeans or a skirt.

Choose specialised items. It is important to choose clothes that are specifically designed as oversize, not to increase the size of ordinary things. Only in this way will you achieve the desired effect. Oversize can be a good choice to create a fashionable and stylish look. Remember these tips and experiment with your style to find the best option for yourself. I wish you successful experiments with oversize and always look stylish and unique!

The world of fashion knows many outstanding personalities who have made an invaluable contribution to its development, demonstrating its diversity and versatility. And among the thousands of names, Jean-Paul Gaultier - the designer who is called the ‘enfant terrible’ (‘bad boy’) of French fashion - stands out. In a career spanning 50 years, his inventiveness and out-of-the-box ideas led him to introduce many sensational inventions that subverted conventional ideas about clothing; to collaborate with prominent people from a wide range of fields, including Madonna; and to contribute to the promotion of gender norms and the health of the queer community.

In 2020, the designer stepped away from his eponymous Jean Paul Gaultier brand, but his creations continue to live on and inspire, and we still remember them today. Today, on Jean Paul Gaultier's birthday, let's remember his journey, creativity and exceptional designs.

Childhood and first fascination with fashion

Gaultier's love for fashion began in his early years. He spent a lot of time with his grandmother, who influenced the origin of the guy's passion for this case. Jean-Paul later said that his grandmother was more ‘curious’ than his mother, and it was thanks to her that he found inspiration for future creations. She allowed him to observe her counselling sessions to improve the health of local people and often advised people to refresh their wardrobe during the sessions, because clothes have a great influence on our condition as well. This is how Gaultier realised in his early years the role fashion can play in life. It was then that he became acquainted with corsets, which were plentiful in his grandmother's wardrobe. It was they who later inspired the designer to create his iconic models.

Even then, the future fashion designer began sewing. At 13, he made an outfit for a toy bear Nana, among which was a cone-shaped bodice - a design that became one of the most iconic in Gaultier's career. Subsequently, the boy presented the first collections of clothes for his mother and grandmother.

Work at Pierre Cardin

At the age of eighteen, without any professional education, Jean-Paul began to send his own sketches to French designers in the hope that they could hire him. So began the story of the guy with Pierre Cardin, who was the first to see his talent and arranged his assistant. After a year of work with the designer Jean-Paul took a break to work with Jean Patou, but later returned to Cardin. Thanks to this experience, the guy was able to compare the work of the two professionals and highlight for himself the main features that he would like to develop in his own projects. In 1974-1976 Gaultier already managed Pierre Cardin boutique in Manila and created women's collections of the brand for the American market.

Founding his own brand

In 1976, together with his business partner Francis Menouge, who also became Jean Paul's greatest love, the designer founded the eponymous brand Jean Paul Gaultier and presented the first collection. Since then, Gaultier has declared himself as a distinctive and innovative fashion designer who redefines traditional ideas of fashion. His creations stood out for their eccentricity and rebelliousness.

From the very beginning of his career, Gaultier was not afraid to go against the current and challenge established norms. His collections were often epathetic but delighted the public with their originality and boldness. He used unusual materials such as rubbish bags and tins, created provocative images that blurred gender boundaries and was not shy about breaking taboos.

Blurring gender boundaries

Gaultier is also known for his contribution to the blurring of gender boundaries in fashion. He repeatedly used male models in women's clothing and vice versa, challenging traditional notions of what men and women wear.

One of the most famous examples of this was the ‘Et Dieu Créa l'Homme’ show in 1987, where men appeared on the catwalk in skirts, kilts and other elements of women's wardrobe. This show became a real sensation and made many people think about stereotypes about gender and fashion.

Collaboration with Madonna

In 1990 Gaultier had the happy opportunity to collaborate with one of the most famous singers in the world - Madonna. He designed over 350 costumes for her for her ‘Blond Ambition’ world tour. These costumes, including the famous cone bra, have become iconic and have forever etched Gaultier's name in pop culture history.

Influence on fashion

Gaultier's influence on the fashion world can hardly be overestimated. He not only created many unforgettable collections, but also challenged established norms, blurred gender boundaries and inspired a new generation of designers. His work continues to inspire and delight people around the world, and Gaultier himself is rightly regarded as one of the greatest designers of the 20th century.

Final years

In 2020, Jean Paul Gaultier announced the end of his career. He said goodbye to fashion with a grand show in which he presented the best designs of his 50-year career. Although Gaultier no longer creates new collections, his work continues to live on and inspire. He has left us an invaluable legacy that will influence the fashion world for many years to come.

In the world of fashion, bags come in a huge variety of shapes, sizes and colours, and this can be confusing even for a seasoned shopaholic. However, I have some tips for you to avoid getting lost in this maze.

Let's start with the basics: understanding your lifestyle, needs and preferences. If you need to carry a lot of things with you, pay attention to voluminous models, such as shopper or hobo bags. However, it is important that a large bag is well structured.

Don't forget that the size of the bag should be suitable for your daily needs. There is no point in choosing large models if you carry a minimum of things. It's important to analyse the main characteristics, such as texture, colour and zipper, and adjust the model to your own needs.

Next, you should pay attention to your style. If you are a fan of romantic style, choose light and bright bags. If you prefer drama or grunge, you'll want to go for active and massive models.

It is also important to consider your height and proportions. Accordingly, choose bags that suit your height to create a harmonious look.

Don't forget about the quality of the materials. Bags made of genuine leather or suede always remain relevant and serve for a long time.

In addition, I recommend paying attention to clutches, bowling bags and bonbonniere bags, which can add originality to your wardrobe.

A classic of the genre is a medium structured shoulder bag. This versatile accessory fits easily into any wardrobe.

Pay attention to your personal needs and choose bags that suit you.
